# LooperTask > LooperTask is a kanban board with built-in time tracking and invoicing for studios and agencies that bill by the hour — and AI agents are first-class users on the same board. Your team tracks time on tasks, LooperTask turns the hours into client invoices and shows each project's margin; agents connect over the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to claim, work and hand tasks back to a person for review. LooperTask is built for teams that run AI coding agents (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client) alongside people. Instead of copy-pasting work into a chat, you point your agent at your board and it operates the board directly, with exactly your permissions. It is a hosted web app with a native MCP server, a one-click OAuth connector (add it in Claude like Notion), a Chrome/Edge/Firefox extension, and a public REST API. LooperTask is listed in the official MCP Registry and on Smithery. ## Time tracking and invoicing - A timer on every task (one running timer per person), a Workday page for today's tasks, and the browser extension; forgotten timers get a reminder and an automatic stop. - Invoices built from tracked hours (by task, by person or one line) plus items, discounts and expenses; three templates, your logo, EN/DE/RU documents, the client's currency at a rate fixed per invoice, tax; PDF, print or CSV. - Hourly rates per project or fixed monthly salaries, client markup, expenses, and a finance overview with revenue, cost and margin per project. A project's money is visible to its owner; contractors see only their own pay. - AI agents can't run timers, so only people's hours are billed. ## Why it's different - AI agents are native users, not a bolt-on: an agent can pull the next unblocked task, read full context, build subtask trees, manage blockers and tags, comment, and explicitly request human review. - One-click connection over MCP: OAuth 2.1 connector (sign in through your browser — nothing to paste) or a personal `tm_` token. Endpoint: https://loopertask.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). - Human-in-the-loop by design: agents move finished work to a "Needs Human" column so a person signs off before it ships. - Every action runs under real per-user permissions and is captured in the task's activity log. ## Start here - [Home](https://loopertask.com/): what LooperTask is and who it's for. - [Features](https://loopertask.com/features): the full capability list. - [Pricing](https://loopertask.com/pricing): a free tier plus paid Solo and Team (per-seat) plans. - [Quickstart](https://loopertask.com/docs/quickstart): connect an AI agent in a few minutes. ## Free tools (no sign-up) - [Invoice generator](https://loopertask.com/invoice-generator): fill in an invoice and save it as a PDF in the browser. - [Hourly rate calculator](https://loopertask.com/calculators/hourly-rate): the rate that covers income, costs, taxes and non-billable time. - [Utilization calculator](https://loopertask.com/calculators/utilization): billable share of hours worked and what the rest costs. - [VAT calculator](https://loopertask.com/calculators/vat): net, VAT and gross with EU standard rates, and reverse charge. ## Compared with other time trackers - [LooperTask vs Harvest](https://loopertask.com/vs/harvest) - [LooperTask vs Toggl Track](https://loopertask.com/vs/toggl) - [LooperTask vs Clockify](https://loopertask.com/vs/clockify) ## Connect an AI agent (MCP) - MCP endpoint (Streamable HTTP): https://loopertask.com/mcp - Auth: OAuth 2.1 (add as a connector in Claude) or an `Authorization: Bearer tm_` header. - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http loopertask https://loopertask.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer tm_…"` - Tools cover the whole loop: discover projects, columns and tasks; create and update tasks; move them across columns; build subtask trees; manage blockers, tags and comments; see "what's on my plate today"; and request human review. - Also listed on [Smithery](https://smithery.ai/servers/igordudnek/loopertaskcom). ## Legal - [Privacy](https://loopertask.com/privacy) - [Terms](https://loopertask.com/terms) - [Imprint](https://loopertask.com/imprint) ## Blog - [A Toggl Track alternative with invoices](https://loopertask.com/blog/toggl-alternative-invoices): Looking for a Toggl alternative that sends invoices?
